Job Description SBI LIFE INS. AREA MANAGER (BANCA CHANNEL) Location- Surendranagar (GUJARAT) practice- 6 Yrs to up-to 9 Yrs Position Title- Area Sales Manager function Ensure achievement of top line budget as per agency business plan with available manpower Ensure agency channel business is managed in the most cost effective manner so as to contribute to the overall profit of the organization To ensure administrative and financial discipline Establish & upgrade channel management processes & procedures Developing and Guiding a Sales team for Consistent good performance Reporting - Regional Sales Manager/ Regional Director Key Responsibilities Achieve the new business premium targets and Renewal Premium targets of the Area for both Retail Agency. Develop new branches in order to ensure increased contribution in the total business Ensure targeted number of BSM's, UM's and IA's are recruited in the shortest possible time Ensure IA activation. Reduction in percentage of "Zero Business" IA's and termination on account of MBG norms Ensure maximum productivity of Old and New IA's and UM productivity as per guidelines set for the Area Adhere to cost budget in respect of all activities Ensure effective and need located training exposure. Monitor performance of the field force in the region by organizing and attending regular Regional level meets. Keep a tab on the industry and the local market at the branch centers. Undertake comparative analysis with competition Create and Nurture a customer centric environment by conducting customer meets and organizing customer service camps at periodic intervals. Ensure minimizing complaints of Misselling and take effective steps to prevent circulation of unauthorized publicity materials. Take proactive measures to rectify irregularities pointed out by the audit team Person Profile Graduate with minimum 5 to 9 years of sales practice, preferably with at least 3 to 6 years practice in life insurance industry MBA Preferred. Critical competencies Sound knowledge of IRDA regulations. Good team building and leadership abilities expertise Aggressive marketing abilities Very good Management expertise Excellent domain knowledge Good Communication and presentation expertise. Goal orientation High analytical expertise knowledge of compliance matters Good knowledge of underwriting and ops processes Maturity to handle aggrieved customers (Cashiering & Claims) Key Interactions Customers Branch/Division Sales Manager Regional Sales Manager Country Head (Retail Agency) Unit managers and Insurance Advisors Ops manager and regional coordinator Accounts, Human Resources Team and other Regional Channel teams at region.
