Mission
Description of the Business Line or Department
Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Manage
ment (PCM), Trade Services (TRA), Factoring (CGA) and Cash Clearing Services (BA
N), as well as the FX services connected with these activities.
The PCM team delivers and supports cash management products and services that ar
e provided to our corporate customers. With over 6,000 specialists in over 50 co
untries, PCM is a strategic activity for Societe Generale, and we can offer the
skills of a large international banking group and practice spanning over tw
enty years.
The TRA team delivers all trade-related services such as documentary credits or
LCs, Standby Letters of Credit, International guarantees and finance connected
across 50 countries.
As part of their growth in the UK, GTPS UK are looking for a Sales Associate to
specifically manage and supervise support functions (e.g. HR, IT, KYC, Complianc
e, COOs office...) in liaison with senior management and more generally support
GTB sales agents.
Summary of the key purposes of the function
The Sales Associate will be responsible for all operations linked to GTB UK acti
vities, working closely with the Global PCM COO, the Head of GTPS UK and all int
ernal stakeholders within SGLB
The Sales Associate will support the Head of GTPS UK in implementing the global
GTB strategy in the UK
The Sales Associate will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations
and support functions including -but not limited to- HR topics, office planning
, budgeting and reporting, training and development, audit, SAFE, real estate, s
trategic reviews and analysis.
Provide any required ad hoc support to GTB sales agents
Summary of responsibilities
1. Strategic objectives
Ensure the roll out of policies, procedures and processes to ensure appropriate
supervision, management and follow up for all UK GTPS activities for the Local
Head of GTPS UK
Continue to refine the Conduct risk agenda across GTPS UK following the develop
ment of OCR meetings and dashboard including training for all populations acros
s the UK (e-Learning, face to face) to ensure Information technology is fully embedded for all staff

Work with the Global GTPS COO on transversal initiatives as well as acting as a
conduit to share information between London and Paris and escalating issues.
Be actively involved in the Digital Transformation
2. Regulatory responsibilities
Responsible for AML (Anti Money Laundering) monitoring
contact with Customer Support team and FCU (Financial Crime Unit) re: any Sancti
ons & Embargoes related inquiry
Responsible for the completion and effectiveness of Permanent Supervision contr
ols
Responsible for monitoring operational and conduct risks and review effectivene
ss of avoidance measures
Ensure timely intervention when breaches occur and analysis of root causes to a
void repeated issues
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the business line
Embody Code of Conduct and behavioral competency by improving Conduct Risk fram
ework and ensuring that actions deriving from conduct risk management informatio
n are taken forward
Take responsibility for any ad hoc request/inquiry from Compliance
Be the main point of contact for KYC-related topics i.e. client onboarding, rev
iews, anomalies
3. Risk monitoring
Monitor unauthorized overdrafts and contact with cash management sales for resol
ution
Ensure credit database is kept up to date at all time
4. Human resources / people development
Responsible for drafting and managing job descriptions
Day to day responsibility for approval of all activities on the UK platform e.g
. transport and travel, accommodation, IT, telephony, office moves, expenses, ho
lidays
5. Project Management and management oversight
Work with the SGLB COO to assist with, among other things, on premises manageme
nt for GTPS UK team (including PCM and TRA) including possible further moves to
Canary Wharf
Be the main entry point for GTPS UK with the following areas
o Compliance
o Legal
o Corporate Real Estate
o ITEC
o GTS including rollout of remote working, new phone/BB policy for SGLB and home
working laptops
o SAFE DLP alerts, PS controls performance
o Audit
Address any audit issues and other areas of concern affecting the GTPS business
es full involvement in upcoming audits across GTPS UK activities (PCM and TRA)
Be fully responsible for Permanent Supervision control set up and monitoring on
a quarterly basis to ensure regular filing of all controls and tests and rectif
y any outstanding anomalies.

Drafting and monitoring of all department procedures
6. Organisation and governance
Help in the organisation of the local governance of GTPS UK
Member of, and active participant in, the following committees on behalf of GTP
S UK:
o Conduct Risk committee
o UK Operations Committee
o Regulatory Review Committee
o SAFE committee
7. Sales support
Provide any required ad hoc support to the GTB sales agents
Level of Autonomy and Authority
High level of autonomy. Decisions will have to made in liaison with Head of GTPS
UK and GTPS COO
